John Thurman is a Licensed Mental Health Professional, Speaker, and author with over 55,000 hours of counseling and coaching experience. He is the Director of Covert Mercy Inc, which is a faith-based agency that provides counseling, coaching, and consulting to individuals, ministry leaders, and mission organizations.

In addition to being a therapist, John is a retired U.S. Army Chaplain having served in the US Army Reserve and several National Guard units. During Desert Storm, he worked in the US Army Burn Unit.

John is also a Corporate Crisis Response Specialist and a Disaster Mental Health having responded to over 240 Disruptive Workplace Events, Mass Shooting, and Natural Disasters.
